Hannah, Elkanah’s wife, said to Eli the priest:

Baby Dedication at Life Way Church is a Christian ceremony thanking God for the blessing of receiving a child from Him.  

During the ceremony the parents make a commitment before the Lord and the body of Christ to raise their child according to God's Word.    

Baby Dedication simply means you are giving back what God has granted you in this child.  To shape and mold into the image of God. The ceremony does not automatically mean that the child is saved.  It is a personal choice that each of us must make to accept Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior (Romans 10:9-10).
